No-Stress Chess is a free browser-based, card-guided chess game. Start a private game with a friend, find another online player, or practice against the bot. Guest play needs no signup.

Play with a friend by private link

Choose Level 1 or Level 2, enter a display name, and open a table. Send the private invitation link to a friend so they can join from their browser. The game runs live for both players.

Find an online opponent

Use Find Players to match with another person waiting for the same card level. Your display name is visible to your opponent, but an account is not required.

Practice against the bot

Choose Play Bot to practice as White against the No-Stress Bot. Bot games use the same card-guided rules as friend games and are useful for learning how each piece moves.
